Installed wood mantel over the brick wall surrounding the woodstove. Painted white.

The quarter round has been installed, both doors have 2 coats of paint and the handles reinstalled.

The original small baseboard has been replaced with this more ornate baaseboard and quarter round.

Bedroom #2, pine plank floor has 2nd coat of urethane cured. Sorry for the paper on floor, but needed for painting the doors.

Both electrical outlets in dining room replaced.

The light switch, the outlet and light fixture replaced in bedroom #2 on w.w.

The 2 doors in bedroom #2 w.w. have been cut at the bottom, reinstalled and primed.

The capping planks for the brick wall at the wood stove area have been primed with oil base.

bedroom #2 w.w., pine floor urethaned (take 7)

Second coat of urethane has been applied to pine plank floor. It is glossy being that it is still wet. After the urethane has cured it will be satin.

This is where and how the trim, baseboards, etc. are painted.

The planks (2x8) have been cut and fitted at top of brick wall. Next step will be to paint planks and then install the trim underneath. Stay tuned.

bedroom #2 west wing, pine floor planks stained (take 6)

Pine floor planks have been stained. Next step will be applying urethane.


The stain matches quite well the original floor planks in the hallway.
