porch posts, painted

The wooden form has been removed and the results of the cement fix is not half bad. The slope surrounding the post turned out quite well also.

The panelling and trim has been added along with the first coat of oil base paint.

All of the 4 posts have had the 1st coat of oil base paint applied.

garden / stump

There is a stump from a cedar hedge that I cut last year. It is located in the garden in front of the porch on the left.

This picture shows that there is no more stump, as I have removed it. Tenacity prevails.

porch posts (take 2)

Our new main entrance in the making. Three of the porch posts have been covered with the panelling and trim over the corners. The gaps have been caulked. Next will be the painting.

This post has not been covered yet because the base needs to be fixed, as you can see.
I installed screws into the existing cement base. The screws will act as anchors for the new cement base to hold onto the existing cement base.
This is the form that I built to shape the cement into the new base.
